GRID CONNECTED ROOFTOP SOLAR SCHEME

GOVERNEMENT OF KARNATAKA (GOK) has notified the Solar Policy 2014-21 on 22.05.2014 to harness the Solar energy in the State of Karnataka. BANGALORE ELECTRICITY SUPPLY COMPANY (BESCOM) is inviting applications from all it's consumers for installation of grid connected Solar RTPV plants under Net-metering & Gross metering arrangement. The Power Purchase Agreement (PPAs) are executed for the period of 25 years at the tariff determined by KARNATAKA ELECTRICITY REGULATORY COMMISISON (KERC) from time to time. The advantages are:
  1. Generate your own power.
  2. Reduce monthly Electricity bills
  3. Earn money by selling excess power to utility
  4. Optimum utilization of vacant space on the rooftop
